Many doctors in the Charlotte Area have referred their patients to Tyndall Pedic in hopes that the Tyndall Pedic Mattress will help to remedy the patient’s pain. Chiropractors have told their patients to buy a Tyndall Pedic to help their back because of the spine alinement and lumbar support that our mattresses provide. There are also several other types of health care professionals such as nurses, medical technicians, and spine specialists that are referring the Tyndall Pedic. These health care professionals are recommending the Tyndall Pedic because they have seen the benefits that either they, or their patients, have personally experienced. As a practicing chiropractor for 26 years, I was introduced to Tyndall Pedic Mattresses about 5 years ago and I have been recommending them ever since. The interesting thing is I used to recommend another brand of mattresses, but out of all the patients that I recommended it to, about seven out of ten reported back that they did not like it and did not receive relief. It was too hard for them to find the right comfort setting in that mattress brand. I discovered the Tyndall Pedic by shopping at Tyndall Furniture. After finding out that I was a chiropractor, Chuck Tyndall immediately began educating me about the physical benefits of the mattress. Upon hearing this, I decided to recommend the mattress to some of my most resistant patients, all resulting with great success. Since I began recommending Tyndall Pedics about thirty of my patients have purchased one. Of those thirty patients, I can say I have received no complaints.
Our first Carolina Panther quarterback, Frank Reich, was one of my patients for many years. He had severe and chronic back pain after playing in the NFL for 14 years. Since the purchase of one Tyndall Pedic, he experienced so much relief that he returned to Tyndall Pedic to get one for each of his three daughters!
After about a year of my patients’ continual satisfaction, I purchased one for myself. I have been very pleased with my decision because prior to the Tyndall Pedic, I experienced about ten years of trouble with my own sleeping habits. As a physician that specializes in taking care of patients with a variety of spine related problems of the neck, mid back and low back I often received questions regarding what type of mattress would be best for them to use. In the past, I was never quite sure how to answer other than the standard we generally prefer a firmer mattress as opposed to a softer mattress.
Because so many individuals had inquired about what type of mattress would be best, I actually took it upon myself to investigate more fully the different type of mattresses that are available to the general public and what actually provides the best support and comfort for individuals with spine related pain.
It is my opinion, after researching the topic and visiting different mattress manufacturers and vendors that the Tyndall Pedic mattress is the best available product for any individual with spine related pain or other musculoskeletal complaints.
In addition, during my investigation, I was impressed with the integrity and quality of the personnel that I interacted with at the Tyndall Furniture Gallery. They certainly care about each individual that comes into the store and I did not get the impression that they were trying to push one particular product on an individual but rather trying to investigate what would be best for that particular persons needs.
I would recommend, without hesitation, the Tyndall Pedic sleep system for any of my patients and I was so impressed that I now have one for myself.

My husband and I have tried several mattresses in the past, and none of them took away the early morning back pain that I usually felt. Once we bought a Tyndall Pedic mattress, my back pain was non-existent in the morning, and I had a wonderful night’s rest. I also really liked that the mattress did not press down on the edges, so the support was all the way through to the edges. The mattress was such a wonderful addition to our overall health. For the last 20 years of my life, I have suffered from a variety of back and neck issues. I’ve been seeing chiropractors for about 18 years, and have consulted with several physicians.
After a recommendation from a friend of mine, I visited the Tyndall store on Rea Road and spent some time learning about the Tyndall Pedic beds.
My wife and I decided to purchase one of the mattresses. While I was a little skeptical at first, I at least knew we had a new and comfortable mattress.
As I write this, it’s now been 6 months since we bought the mattress, and I have not once been back to my chiropractor because there has been no neck or back pain.
Not a week goes by where my wife or I don’t comment on how much we love our bed.

We have had our flagship Tyndall Pedic bed for six months and boy do we love it. I have severe disc and degenerative spinal disease that caused me to wake multiple times on our old mattress feeling pressure and pain. The Tyndall Pedic with its lack of pressure points molds to my body and gives me a much less interrupted sleep than before. While I, as a Physician, know that no bed will cure you, I can certainly tell the public that this bed will give you what you need, which is greater comfort and less interrupted sleep. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to start your day after a night on these beds.
We opted for the split king motorized bed and just this week it became apparent we made the right decision. I was hit by a motorized vehicle and suffered severe injuries. The ability to raise the head and feet allowed me to get my injured parts in just the right location and to isolate my tossing and turning from the abrasions from my wife so we both could rest despite the fracture, bruises and contusions I sustained. Believe me when I tell you that this is a feature we will appreciate the rest of our lives. I want to thank our fantastic salesman Joe Ogorek from the Rea Road location for all his help. He certainly worked to put us in the right model and we will be forever grateful for his kindness. No matter what the consumer magazines say, the purchase of the right mattress is an investment not to be made lightly. Do not buy until you have at least tried this fantastic product.
I grew up playing football, base ball, and basket ball. From the age of 18, I was plagued with chronic back problems. After high school, I was invited to play quarterback for the University of Maryland. After college, I had the opportunity to play in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions. After playing 14 years in the NFL, my low back was in pain almost every day. On a “pain scale” of 1-10, my average day was 7 or 8. Honestly, there were very few days I did not experience some kind of significant pain in my low back. When it was a bad day, 9 or 10, it was unbearable. I had access to great doctors and all the best equipment to rehab my back, but nothing seemed to help. In 2003, I had finally gotten to the point where I thought surgery was the only option left. John Welshofer and Harry Hunt, my doctors, said a Tyndall Pedic was a great option so I bought one. Within 3 months, my back pain went completely away, 100% gone! It was unbelievable to me. For close to 9 years now, the chronic back pain is gone! Now, I can count on one hand the number of days I have had back pain in years. That is amazing to me. Thanks be to God! Needless to say, every one of my children has a Tyndall Pedic as well as my parents. I have also recommended the mattress to my personal friends. It is simply an amazing mattress!!!
